Where to begin...

Where to begin. Orders charged yet not sent, with them claiming they only charge upon shipment. Orders placed on memorial day, which were then cancelled a week later, them claiming I cancelled it. Just a mess of a company. No responses to emails and calling will go on hold indefinite.

Was Once a Good Company NOT ANYMORE!

First let me say that Greenworks was once a reliable company that took care of the customer. Not so anymore. My problems started when I placed an order for a 60v 6ah battery. I decided not to buy it for the fact that I found Home Depot had a 8ah battery for close to the same price. I immediately sent a request to cancel the order, as I checked my account and the order was pending. I was sent an email from Greenworks saying the order could not be cancelled as it already shipped. I went and checked my account, and saw that magically a shipping label was created but UPS has not picked it up yet. After being on hold for 4 hours I spoke with a supervisor who told me once a label an order can’t be cancelled. This is just an outright lie. UPS confirmed that labels can be voided as long as they have not picked it up yet. So needless to say the package arrived and much to my surprise they sent me a 5ah battery rather than a 6ah battery. It seems they slapped a sticker on a 5ah box, with a 5ah battery inside. I paid $50 more for the 6ah battery. Of course customer support is non existent on weekends, even their twitter account isn’t manned. So I immediately sent a request to cancel two orders I placed yesterday (5/29/21) as a result of the battery order. Lo and behold I immediately get emails saying the orders were shipped, which is amazing since they’re closed on weekends. Orders I did not cancel always took 4-5 days before shipping labels were created, so it’s obvious they automatically create labels when you want to cancel an order. Shady business practice if you ask me. I don’t expect to hear anything from Greenworks on these issues. I plan not to accept delivery when they do ship. In the mean time I did research and will be filing a complaint with the NC Attorney General Consumer Protection Agency as well as the BBB. It’s a shame that a company that was once reliable and produces quality products would stoop to such low tactics.

I think they must have one person…

I think they must have one person working on their customer service line. Phoned yesterday was 13 in queue and took a half hour to get to 12. Hung up. Am trying early today. Was placed 4 on the queue. A full hour later my position now is 2. If service is important to you then definitely avoid buying a Greenworks anything

Wish I’d seen these reviews first.

Well, same as many here.
Ordered a pressure washer 5 weeks ago. In stock item. Yeah it says “Slight delay- one to two weeks. Think I’m well past that.
No replies to email and never get an email back on the Check order link. Says it has sent an email for “Security reasons…” So secure it doesn’t send it I guess…
Looks like time to call the credit card company for a refund.

I have a 60 volt weed eater

I have a 60 volt weed eater, blower combo. Less than a year old. The first charger I bought quit shortly after. Lowe’s traded it out for me. The second one I received has also quit. I have tried calling and emailing Greenworks several times. No one will email or call me back. I am not going to buy a 3rd one so I guess I’m looking for a different brand now.

I am number 14 in the queue after 3…

I am number 14 in the queue after 3 hours and 11 minutes. All I want to do is get a replacement string head for my trimmer, which generally speaking, I have been happy with. This is maddening! I can't be locked down for this long just for servicing! Given all the other reviews with a similar complaint, what a waste of human capital. Time is precious and Greenworks service center places NO value on it.

I Love my green works self propelled…

I Love my green works self propelled mower with 80V 5ah battery...until the battery shuts down the mower with 2 green lights still showing. Two emails got absolutely no response. So I call Greenworks helpline 1-855-345-3934 and am 24th in line to wait for some one to answer the call. THREE (3) HOURS WAITING!!
And then after giving all data, model#s Serial #s dates and everything else, they tell me to email an invoice from the purchase 3 years ago. So I did that and still have no response! Absolutely no help for my problem AT ALL!
Everything is blamed on Covid these days...Covid has been here for over a year, long enough to get their act together.

Never again

I will never order again. The website timed out, so I started my order over, one order only, showed on my green works account but got charged twice and was getting emails for 2 different orders. Called and emailed and somehow both were cancelled, so I ordered a 3rd time against my better judgement. Got the box and you can tell it had been opened and taped back shut and the battery for the weed eater appeared that it was already used. I have sent a messaged to them and no response. Filled out a survey and they refused to post it. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau. Not to mention I waited nearly 3 weeks to get my weed eater, that I feel was just several different parts put together in 1 box. Customer service reps over the phone were very rude all 3 times I called.

This company must be run by people who have better things to do than focus on customer service. I have a string trimmer and hedger already I bought from local home improvement store. I ordered an edger on their website and the black hole of nothing started. Three weeks and nothing updating my item status and no answers to my inquiries. I am calling Monday to see where my edger is and if no answer is given or I am in a que with more than ten people then I will promptly contact my bank and request reverse charges for undelivered merchandise. Ego is my brand from now on.

misleading order tree shipping policy

misleading order tree shipping policy
I ordered a chainsaw, which is on sale. The Order Tree shipping policy on the Greenworks websites states:
"Generally, all completed orders are shipped the same day or next business day. You should receive delivery of most complete orders within 3-5 business days in the continental United States."
After 3 days my order is still labeled as "processing". I called to inquire and was told that "processing" takes about 10 business days to complete and only then will the status be changed to "processing" and above rules apply. Nowhere on their website do they state this difference and the person on the call tried to argue with me about the difference between "processing" and "completed". How can you try to have reliable customer service with this kind of behavior? I am not sure if I can trust their product after that.

I wrote this review on Greenworks…

I wrote this review on Greenworks website at their request, bribe said I could win 1,00 bucks, right. Anyway I just got an email telling me they would not post my review. I guess the cancel culture is alive and well at Greenworks. Here’s my review:
Poor customer service misleading advertising
Product is fine it’s their marketing and customer service that isn’t. I logged on to their website and a pop up advertising 10% off your purchase for submitting your email address came up. I signed up, also there was an offer to get a free drill with purchase. So I bought the mower and I didn’t get two things, the 10% discount or the drill. I sent an email after I ordered the mower because I didn’t get a confirmation, in that email I mentioned the discount and the drill. The next day I got a response telling me I would be contacted when the mower shipped? I didn’t ask about shipping and by the way I never got an email or any other response after that. Now I got an email offering 10% off my purchase if I bye the mower I just bought. I sure hope this made in China mower doesn’t break because based on my customer experience so far if it breaks it’s a throw away. I get the feeling I won’t be winning the 1,000 they keep offering me for a review.
